Victory against Brookside "C" Mixed

A 5 /4 Victory for the Mixed Team

 

Overall Result: Rubbers 5/4, Games 12/8, Points 372/347.

 

Mark & Mel : Rubbers 3/0, Games 6/0, Points 126/90.

 

Vic & Liz : Rubbers 1/2, Games 3/4, Points 128/137.

 

Nick & Rachel: Rubbers 1/2, Games 3/4, Points 118/120.

 

Although Vic & Liz / Nick & Rachel  each only won 1 Rubber the points difference was marginal ....... Minus 9 & Minus 2

The 3rd Mens Match of 2016/7

The 14th October saw a  defeat at home to THE NOOK.

 

Due to a late start and close Rubbers and games  running to 20 by 10.00 pm Mark and Dean who won Rubbers 1 & 5 had to   concede the final Rubber 9. Their  results were Rubbers 2/1 Games 4/3 Points 104/115 ... which considering they conceded points 42/0 for the game that couldn't be played showed how top the game they were.

 

With Scott unable to pay Paul filled in with Vic loosing all Rubbers  but with winning 1 game 25/23 and loosing another 27/29 unfortunately contributed to the need to concede the final Rubber.

 

Nick & Isaac won 1 Rubber but the two they lost both went to 3 closely fought games.

 

The overall result was Rubbers 3/6 Games 9/13  Points 376/409

A loss and a win to end October.

The loss was against Frederick Gent B  on 24th .....
Rubbers  8-1 Points  393 / 272 but a great Game 6 which Scott & Nick won 22/20 & 21/15

The win was on 30th  Rubbers 7-2 Points 367/220  marginally aided  by Brookside B having only 2 pairs. It was a cool night as the pictures below show.

Mixed Match v Abbey Dunkirk B 10th October 2016

An excellent start to the Mixed Season with a 5 / 4 win.

Points 413/336

 

Mel and Mark took all 3 Rubbers  with one going to 3 games and overall points of 144/101

 

Rachel and Scott  although losing all 3 Rubbers took one to 3 games and had a creditable overall points of 131/144 indicating how close their games were. Their 2nd  game , which was the one that went to 3 games they only lost  it 23/25.

 

Liz and Vic took 2 Rubbers and only lost the 3rd one in a 3rd game, which they lost 21/23 with overall points 138/109.
